Why we use it
We use enquiry and order information to answer questions, take steps you request before a purchase, fulfil orders and arrange farm collection. These uses are necessary for our contract with you or steps you ask us to take before entering one.
We also use relevant records to meet legal accounting obligations. We have a legitimate interest in protecting the website, preventing fraud, resolving queries and keeping records of communications and transactions. Where optional cookies require consent, we ask for your choice separately. You can withdraw that choice through Cookie settings.
Payments and service providers
We use service providers for payment processing, website hosting, email, security and backups. They handle personal information as needed to provide those services. Card payments are processed through Stripe—see Stripe’s privacy notice.
How long information is kept
Order, payment and correspondence records are kept for the purposes described above, including accounting, handling queries and resolving disputes. The appropriate period depends on the record and any legal obligations. Our shop does not currently apply automatic deletion periods to order records. Contact us if you would like information about a particular record or to request deletion; we may need to retain information for legal reasons.
Cookies and external services
Essential cookies support shop sessions, sign-in, security and remembering your privacy choices. Optional visitor statistics and order-attribution tracking are currently switched off. Optional cookies are disabled by default; use Cookie settings to review or change your choice.
WordPress sign-in cookies are used when you log in. WooCommerce may use basket and session cookies when you use shop functions. Our consent tool stores your cookie preferences. Your browser can also block or delete cookies, although doing so may prevent sign-in or basket features from working.
Our trade login uses Knack, a separate service for trade customers. External services and links, including maps, payment services and the trade system, have their own privacy information. Follow a link or use those services only when you want to access them.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your personal information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain uses, or ask for a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use. Contact John using the details above; we may need to verify your identity before responding.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would welcome the opportunity to help with a concern first.
