History….

The Galloway family is dedicated to rearing the most succulent, flavoursome and traditional Christmas farm fresh turkeys on their rural farm in Randalstown, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland.

John & Thomas Galloway come from an agricultural background and were reared on the family farm which runs a Suckler cow and Beef enterprise as well as turkeys.

The Family farm was purchased in 1958 and a small number of turkeys were reared by their Father and Mother, hand plucked and took to the then Belfast Co-op to be purchased by local Butchers.

With the co-op then closing down a small amount of turkeys were kept for the doorstep customer until the brothers got involved in the late 1990’s. In 2006 they received European funding to help renovate their traditional farm buildings into a new dry plucking processing unit. This has enabled them to increase their production from 400 turkeys to now being the largest dry plucking processor in Northern Ireland.

Whether, Free range Bronze, Norfolk Blacks & White or traditional White barn reared all Galloway Turkeys are certain to deliver a Christmas meal that is truly special.

Traditional animal husbandry and concern about welfare means that all the birds live a long and healthy life, enjoying natural diets This contributes to the turkeys’ distinctive taste and texture – ideal for the festive season.
